Anita Nell Cofer Juhan, age 88, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 at her daughter's home. Anita was born on July 29, 1922 to the late Warner Seay Cofer and Lavinia Gilland Cofer. As a native Atlantan, Anita grew up in West End, attended Joe Brown Junior High School and graduated from Commercial High School. She made lasting friendships at school and at her former church, Gordon Street Baptist Church. After graduating from high school, she proudly worked at the Federal Reserve Bank. During this time of her life, her late sister, Sara Cofer Lenzen, introduced her to her future husband, Clyde, whom she married after he returned from WWII in August, 1946. She and Clyde settled in East Point where she enjoyed her life as a fulltime wife and mother with the birth of their two children. She and Clyde enjoyed almost sixty years of marriage before his death in July, 2006. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Cofer Johnson. Anita is survived by a daughter Madelyn (Larry) Alexander of Fayetteville, GA and a son Nile (Joan) Juhan of Canton, GA. In addition, she is survived by three grandchildren: Laurie (Adam) Price of McDonough, GA; Ashley Alexander of Atlanta; and Justin Juhan of Canton. Olivia Sterling Price and Aaron Alexander Price are her surviving great-grandchildren. Anita will be remembered for her strong faith in God and her love for her family. Her kind and sweet spirit brought much joy to those who love her. Friends and family are invited to her funeral service on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville, GA. Her minister, Darwin Caldwell, of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 4-8 PM at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, at 770-461-7641.
